Exploring Culture Diversity at UF

My name is Lauren Ashley Bromfield. Something you would never guess from reading my name is that I am extremely culturally diverse. My family comes from places all over the world such as Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and so much more. Being so culturally diverse has inspired me to explore cultural organizations across campus and meet people born from countries all over the world. I am always fascinated by hearing, learning, and experiencing other people's cultures outside of my own. I decided to dedicate my blog towards exploring cultures that can be found at the University of Florida because I want to share what brings my heart joy to others. I also want to show people that exploring the world can be found within reach right here on UF's campus.

Through my blog, I will post pictures and write stories from my experiences exploring cultures on campus. I have already explored cultural organizations such as the Jamaican American Student Association and served this past year as Co-Pageant Director for the Mr&Miss JAMSA Pageant. There are many organizations at the University of Florida besides JAMSA that celebrate world culture. This blog will allow others to see how amazing it is to honor a culture other than your own.
